Hats Off To You, Boston P.D.!

Hats Off To You, Boston P.D.! April 19, 2013

We live under a blanket of protection; a strong, thick cover of safety provided by local heroes – men and women who risk their lives every day so that we can enjoy ours in comfort and peace. We send our sincerest “THANK YOU!” to the men and women of the Boston P.D., FBI, Transit Police, Boston Fire & Rescue, and other first responders. Also, our hearts goes out tonight to the friends and family members of the first responders who died in West, Texas. Of the 35 people who lost their lives, 10 were first responders, people who rushed TOWARD the danger zone in order to try and save lives. “Some 35 people — including 10 first responders — died in a massive explosion Wednesday night at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas, Mayor Tommy Muska said, according to USA Today.”

In the wise, apropos words of Sidney Sheldon:

“My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place – police, firefighters and members of our armed forces.”

Boston Police Department, I take my hat off to you tonight. Thank you for your courageous, dedicated, heroic dedication to our safety. May the Lord bless you for your sacrifice and service. And congratulations on your success. We sleep well tonight because of you.

Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, was in custody on Friday night.
