About

Paul Asay is an author, journalist and entertainment critic who now serves as a senior associate editor for the popular Christian entertainment review site Plugged In (pluggedin.com).  He has been published in a variety of other secular and Christian publications, including The Washington Post, The Gazette in Colorado Springs, YouthWorker Journal and Beliefnet.com. He has a love of old movies, a disturbing affinity for bad ones and an appreciation for all things geek. He digs finding God in unexpected places, especially in entertainment.

Paul also is a published author whose books include God on the Streets of Gotham: What the Big Screen Batman Can Teach Us About God and Ourselves (Tyndale) and the upcoming Burning Bush 2.0: How Pop Culture Replaced the Prophet (Abingdon). He also collaborated with Focus on the Family President Jim Daly on his book The Good Dad: Becoming the Father You Were Meant to Be.

He lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, Wendy, his two children, a neurotic dog and several disrespectful houseplants. When not writing, Paul hikes, runs marathons, reads history books, roots for the Denver Broncos and makes cringe-worthy puns. You can follow Paul on Twitter (@AsayPaul), visit his website (www.paulasay.com) or just think nice, happy thoughts about him in your spare time.
