10 Cloverfield Lane: Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), a young woman running away from a failing relationship, is knocked unconscious in a car crash. When she comes do, she finds herself in Howard’s (John Goodman) doomsday bunker. Howard tells her she can’t leave: To open the bunker’s door will mean certain death. But will it? Is Michelle’s real danger from the supposedly poisoned air outside … or the host within? Released way back in March, most people have probably forgot about this taut little thriller by now. Too bad, because 10 Cloverfield Lane feels like a Hitchcock movie from the director’s prime—with the added threat of aliens!
