Amanda Waller
While we’re on the subject of bad hombres, let’s take a quick look at Amanda Waller, the Suicide Squad’s official puppet master. Harley, who knows a thing or two about bad hombres, knows right away that Waller’s not a lady to be messed with.
“Are you the devil?” She asks.
“Maybe,” Waller says.
She does seem, in some ways, to be the most cold-blooded member of the Squad, shooting innocent civilians without so much as a wince. (Even Enchantress simply turned her victims into soulless automatons.) And consider this, too: She serves as the story’s official Faustian Mephistopheles, dangling some cherished bit of humanity before them in exchange for a touch more of their souls.
