About

Jennifer ChroniclesGreetings! Welcome to the Chronicles of Jennifer. I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Jennifer — an American wife and mother. I’m also a proud Gen-Xer, born in East L.A. in the late 1960s. It’s been a good ride, friends.

Personal essays and memoirs form the backbone of my writing.  I love to share spiritual insights from my Christian faith and lessons I’ve learned along life’s boundless ocean. This is how I bear witness to what God has done and is doing in my life.

These stories are all I have to offer the world. I guess in some ways, you could say every word I’ve written has been a prayer for my generation, Generation X. We’re a lost generation of former latchkey kids now in midlife. In youth and young adulthood we were overshadowed by Baby Boomers. In middle age, by Millennials. We’ve broken bank and heart raising Generation Z, and God help us, we are losing our parents — the generation known as the Lucky Few.

So, we stare up at the ceiling at night overwhelmed by the reality that our lives are half over and we’re just now getting started. But, the Lord restores the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). I know this is true, because He has done this for me.
