Mysterious Giants Found in the Outskirts of Copenhagen

Thomas Dambo is a 37 year old artist that takes recycling to a new level. He makes huge giants out of scrap wood and other recycled materials and places his whimsical creations in the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark for people to stumble upon.

The only clue to where to find them is a cryptic map posted on the artist’s website and a riddle placed nearby. It’s an attempt to send art fans on an open-air sculpture treasure hunt, and perhaps also discover some hidden nature spots along the way. (YouTube)

His message is for us to go out and explore and get away from our screens and our “regular triangle of our homes to our jobs to our supermarkets.” He wants us to explore and notice the beauty in our everyday environments.
