Celebrate Sofia and others on Down Syndrome Day 2017

Sofia Sanchez, 7 years old, was born in the Ukraine and has Down Syndrome. She was adopted by her wonderful parents, Jennifer and Hector Sanchez. Sofia is a force to be reckoned with and her video where her mother asks her some questions, including “Is Down Syndrome scary?” has gone viral! She says with a smile on her face and great enthusiasm:

“I can do anything I want.”

“Yes, I’m smart. Yes, I am kind.”

What a sweetheart with a sweet family to boot.

Down Syndrome Day was March 21st and this was a great day to wholeheartedly celebrate those who might be different, but are utterly worthy! Go Sanchez family – keep spreading the message of love and acceptance – we applaud you.
