Winners of Wife-Carrying World Championship receive wife’s weight in beer

Wife-carrying World Championship competition is actually a thing in Finland. Husbands carry their wives on their backs through a 250 meter obstacle course. Wives can be carried in many ways, but apparently the most efficient way to carry a wife is upside down on the husband’s back with her legs wrapped around his neck. Who knew? And the prize for winning this strenuous competition…the wife’s weight in beer as well as ultimate bragging rights!
