Refugees get own team for the Summer Olympic Games

I love the Olympics – for the excellence in sport and competition as well as the backstories of the athletes which are often filled with hope, pain and perseverance. This summer for the very first time, refugees will compete under the Olympic Flag. These 10 athletes from all over the world have suffered severe hardship and displacement. They’ll compete in multiple events and are a symbol of courage and strength for refugees around the world.
