Tomorrow is Mother’s Day…a happy day for many and an extremely sad day for some.

Every Mother’s Day, I can’t help but think about my friends who have lost their mothers way to soon.  My heart breaks for them.  I also think about my friends who have lost a child.  I can’t imagine the grief they must feel.  I am also reminded that many of my friends are unable to get pregnant, and every Mother’s Day hits them like salt in a deep wound.  Again, my heart aches with them.

To all those who absolutely dread Mother’s Day, please know this…You are not alone.  It’s okay to be sad, mad, or frustrated.  Please know that God loves you, and He draws especially near to those who are hurting.  You don’t have to be excited that it’s Mother’s Day.  It’s okay.  Give yourself time to grieve, and celebrate the sweet things in your life.  Please know that we see you and join you in grieving the loss of your mother, child, or twinkle in your eye that has yet to come.  You. Are. Loved.
